Input Data
This chapter contains the scenario definitions and input data used for blowout and well kill simulations for hypothetical blowouts from one of the wells on the Alpha or Beta fields.
Casing and Tubing Program
Details of the planned well design for the wells on the two structures can be found in other parts of this contingency planning manual. Casing and drillpipe sizes are given in the table below. Note that since the blowout rates are mostly limited by the inflow performance, the blowout and kill rates are not highly sensitive to the lengths and diameters of the BHA.
