John Wright Company (JWCO) is a consulting engineering firm incorporated in Texas in 1989. John Wright is President and owner. JWCO specializes in the engineering and development of contingency plans and supervision of special services for blowout control operations in the oil and gas industry. JWCO is contractually allied with Well Flow Dynamics AS (WFD) to provide engineering services for blowout and kill hydraulic modeling. John Wright is 50% owner of Well Flow Dynamics AS.JWCO primary services are divided into two categories: contingency planning and response operations for a well control incident.
Contingency Planning Services are designed to assist operators, drilling contractors, and integrated service companies to define and manage their well control risks. To accomplish this task we have defined five major management criterion which together make up an integrated "Well Control Management System". These criterion are, the management of:Response Operation Services incorporate the following:
- Response to a well control incident for three levels of severity
- Training, Drills and Certifications for well control responders
- Technology related to reduction and escalation of well control hazards
- Hazards and Risk relative to well control incidents
- Information related to reduction and escalation of well control hazards
Project Management for relief well and hydraulic kill special services
General Contracting of special services, e.g. hydraulic specialists and software, electromagnetic homing in services, and other related engineering specialists Design and Supervision of Well Intersections for Relief wells: to control a blowout and for plug and abandonment Design and Supervision of Hydraulic Well kills for: Underground blowouts, Relief wells and Diverted flows
